Lisa is married to her high school sweetheart with two amazing children. Born in Pennsylvania, Lisa moved to Delaware upon marriage. She has been active within her children’s schools; she’s acted as PTA treasurer, a dance committee chair, team mom for her son’s sports and is now on the “Pit Crew” for the Appoquinimink High School’s marching band and indoor drumline. Lisa loves watching her kids play sports and performing their musical talents as they are self-taught on multiple instruments. She enjoys scrapbooking and creating photo stories for family and friends.
Lisa loves spending time at the Delaware beaches and trips to Happy Valley to visit relatives, especially for the Grange Fair in Centre Hall which is one of the oldest, largest, and few remaining encampment fairs left in the United States. Lisa also enjoys going to see live, local bands, especially her brother’s band “No Blitz”. One of Lisa’s favorite traditions is on Thanksgiving going to watch her high school football team play their rival with her uncle, who went to the opposing high school. They haven’t missed a game in 32 years! She is one of the coordinators of her high school class reunions and will be organizing the 73rd family reunion for the Horner family in the coming year.
Lisa began her career at an accounting firm, then moved to a large insurance company where she cultivated a number of skills such as leadership, accounting, multitasking, and numerous computer and software skills. She was offered a position with DSM in 2006 and wears many hats including maintenance coordination and bookkeeping.
